Oscar-nominated actress June Squibb has joined the voice cast of Pixar's Inside Out 2.

Squibb, 94, most recently worked with Disney-owned studios on 2020's "Soul'' and 2019's "Toy Story 4,'' and has other animation projects including "Solar Opposites.'' 

she also lends her voice to "Ralph Breaks the Internet'' and "The Fungies.''

Details about Squibb's character are unknown, but she will join a star-studded voice cast in the sequel, which opens in theaters on June 14. 


Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black return as Joy, Sadness, and Anger, respectively; Tony Hale and Liza Lapira join Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling as Fear and disgust following reports of salary dispute.
The original Inside out(2015) follows the life of a young girl named Riley, who is thrown into turmoil when her family moves from the Midwest to San Francisco. 

This blockbuster anime embodies Riley's emotions as she debates the best way to navigate change. 

“Inside out 2” follows Riley years later as a teenager grappling with new and complex emotions.

Case in point: Maya Hawke joins the series as the jaded newcomer Anxiety. The sequel has already made history as Disney's biggest animated trailer release.
Squibb will next be seen in the Sundance adventure comedy Thelma. In this film, 93-year-old Thelma Post seeks revenge on a phone scammer who swindled her out of $10,000. Squibb is best known for her Oscar-nominated supporting role in the 2013 drama Nebraska, directed by Alexander Payne. 



Throughout her 70-year career, she has starred in In & Out, About Schmidt, and Hubie Halloween, as well as Modern Family, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Palm Springs. 

She has also appeared on “Grey's Anatomy,” “Bones,'' “Shameless,'' “The Big Bang Theory,'' “Glee,'' “Girls,'' “Two and a Half Men,'' ”The Bernie Mac Show,'' and many more movies and series.
