The much anticipated Wizards of Waverly Place sequel, which will feature Selena Gomez as the cherished character Alex Russo, is about to happen. Prepare to watch Gomez perform her charms and tricks on your television screens once more!
Deadline was the first to disclose the news, reporting that Gomez will be joined by her brother David Henrie, who will be playing Justin Russo again.

Gomez announced her joy on her Instagram Story, writing, "We're back," and confirming that she was part of the pilot episode of the much awaited sequel.
The article claims that Gomez and Henrie will also executive produce the show, which will be a big reunion for the former co-stars.


According to Deadline, the story of the second series centres on a mystery incident that happened at WizTech, when an adult Justin Russo decided to give up his magical abilities and live a normal life. 

His choice, nevertheless, is abruptly altered when Janice LeAnn Brown's character, a formidable young magician, shows up at his house looking for instruction. 

The plot calls for a voyage of self-discovery and the realisation that making peace with the past is necessary to ensure Wizard World's future.


Alkaio Thiele, who will play Justin's eldest kid, and Mimi Gianopulos, who will play Justin's wife, have joined the cast. 

Executive producers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, who are well-known for their work on the Disney sequel series Raven's Home, are in charge of the pilot. 
The 2007–2012 run of the original Wizards of Waverly Place television series created a devoted fan base for the Disney Channel. 

The enchanting legacy will be continued in the sequel series, which promises a novel and captivating plot.
