Nanang’s father leaves to study abroad thus Nanang and his mother live with his grandfather. Nanang is often teased by children of his age, so he prefers to play with his aunt, Lilis, who wants to be a singer. Grandfather does not approve of this, and gets angry when he finds out that Lilis will have a recording on national radio. Lilis is forbidden to sing again.
