Taylor  Swift has surpassed Beyoncé and Rihanna in Forbes magazine's annual ranking to become the fifth most powerful woman in the world.

With his highest ever ranking on the 2023 list, the "Antihero" singer became the highest-ranked musician on the list. Overall, she is ahead of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in first place, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde in second place, US Vice President Kamala Harris in third place, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in fourth place. 
The publication noted Swift's recently acquired billionaire status. Her current net worth is estimated at $1.1 billion, including $500 million from royalties and tours, $500 million from her music catalog, and approximately $125 million from real estate. 

Taylor's version once again lists ticket sales for the Ellas tour as a top reason. It was also noted that the 33-year-old pop star was the first female musician "to be included in the ranking based solely on her singing and performance."

Beyoncé ranks 36th on the list of most powerful women, up 44 places from last year's 80th place. The 42-year-old superstar won a historic Grammy Award in February, making her the most decorated artist in Recording Academy history, as well as a successful Renaissance tour and collaboration with Balmain, according to Forbes magazine. 
Meanwhile, Ri comes in at number 74, but her staggering $1.4 billion net worth still puts her ahead of Swift and Bey ($540 million).

Forbes praised the 35-year-old singer mogul for her high-grossing companies Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty, as well as her appearance on the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year.
In June, all three women appeared on Forbes magazine's list of America's Richest Self-made Women, with Ri ranked 20th, Swift 34th, and Bey 48th. did. “The decision was made based on her four key metrics: funding, media, influence, and sphere of influence,” the publication states. “Media mentions and social reach were analyzed for everyone, and the results were 100 women shaping the policies, products, and political struggles that define our world.”
