The cast of "Only Murders in the Building" now includes Paul Rudd.
After appearing as Broadway star Ben Glenroy in the Season 2 finale "I Know Who Did It," the actor will take the lead in the third season of the program. It is unknown if Rudd will act as a series regular, recurring character, or guest star.
Paul Rudd, who appeared as Ben Glenroy at the end of Season 2, is someone we obviously want to learn more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 because he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as always with our program, many twists yet to come! John Hoffman, a co-creator of the series, stated in a statement to Variety.
"Only Murders in the Building" centers on Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez), three unlikely friends who share a New York City apartment building and connect over a shared love of true crime after becoming embroiled in a real-life murder investigation and starting their own podcast. They compete to identify the assassin of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger in Season 2. (Jayne Houdyshell). The trio is widely accused of killing Bunny, they are now the focus of a rival podcast, and they must cope with a group of New York neighbors who all believe they were involved in the crime, among other unfortunate issues. In July, Season 3 received the go-ahead.
The show was co-created by Martin and Hoffman. Along with Dan Fogelman, Jamie Babbit, Jess Rosenthal, and Short, Martin, Hoffman, and Gomez serve as executive producers.
Rudd and Selena Gomez were co-stars in the 2016 Netflix movie "The Fundamentals of Caring," and now they are back again in "Only Murders in the Building." "Clueless," "Wet Hot American Summer," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," and Marvel's "Ant-Man" are just a few of his well-known filmography credits.
