In a post on Wednesday, Dec. 27, Ariana Grande appeared to announce that fans can expect a new album in 2024.
The singer has been working on other projects in recent years, including her role in the film adaptation of the musical Wicked.
In it, she appears as Glinda and appears in the development of her R.E.M. beauty line.
But she's back in the studio. In her carousel of photos and video clips, she shared footage of herself working on her new song with producer Ilya Salmanzadeh.
In a series of photos, Grande goes from crying to celebrating, and in a video of herself sitting on a couch in a semi-hysterical state, clearly exhausted from all the work that has gone into creating her new music.
When she was asked her how she felt now that it was almost all over, she laughed and cried.
"I'm so tired," she answered from under her blanket, turning her face away. "But I'm so happy and grateful. I feel like I weigh 3,000 tons."
She captioned the post, “See you next year.”

Her last album with Grande was her 2020's Positions, but she's been promising her new music for quite some time.
She recently parted ways with former manager Scooter Braun and was replaced by Brandon Creed and Good World Management, which likely led to production delays.
The singer was recently spotted in New York City with her new boyfriend, Broadway actor Ethan Slater. Slater is currently starring in the Spamalot revival, and the pair reportedly enjoyed a family dinner this holiday week.
