The TIME100 Next list, like TIME's yearly list of the 100 most influential people in the world, offers unexpected collaborations between list members and the guest writers TIME chooses to profile them.

This year's honorees include: Michael B. Jordan: Jonathan Majors; Justin Timberlake: Allyson Felix; Maude Apatow: Sydney Sweeney; Queen Latifah: Keke Palmer; Jimmy Fallon: Jack Harlow; Charli D'Amelio: Khaby Lame; Avril Lavigne: Machine Gun Kelly; Elizabeth Warren: Wally Adeyemo; Allyson Felix: Maria Taylor; Justin Timberlake: Ja Morant; Ryan

As part of the TIME100 Next collection, which honours up-and-coming individuals who are changing the world across a wide variety of professions, on Wednesday a number of Hollywood's most promising young actors and actresses were presented with awards for their achievements. Machine Gun Kelly, Keke Palmer, SZA, Joe Alwyn, Jack Harlow, Sadie Sink, Sydney Sweeney, Lily Collins, and FKA Twigs are some of the entertainers who have been chosen for the 2022 list.

Former co-star Palmer is complimented by Queen Latifah as "one of the most talented individuals I've ever encountered," while SZA, who played Latifah's niece in the 2004 film Barbershop 2: Back in Business, will be "recognised as one of the best songwriters and singers of all time," as stated by Lizzo.

It's been fascinating to observe Keke mature into a young lady. In Latifah's words, she exudes elegance, confidence, and openness. "As an actress myself, I've enjoyed watching her grow as a performer via challenging roles in films like and the critically acclaimed 2022 blockbuster. The girl also has a beautiful singing voice. The fact is, this kid hero has been inspiring grownups for quite some time now.

Keke is the next big thing, and I, for one, can't wait to watch what she does on her journey.

When compiling its annual list, TIME notes that "there are no defined rules for inclusion." According to the publication, "there is no single path to change the world." The tremendous efforts of these individuals to affect the future give them a common bond.

Each of the four international covers of the 2022 issue of TIME100 Next has a different honoree from the list: musician SZA, actor Sydney Sweeney, actor Keke Palmer, and naturalist Farwiza Farhan.

Leaders like Bogolo Kenewendo, Luisa Neubauer, Leah Stokes, Elizabeth Wathuti, Christoph Gebald, Jan Wurzbacher, and more than a dozen others are included on the list.

Chris Murphy, Wally Adeyemo, Michelle Wu, Spencer Cox, Mattie Parker, and Cassidy Hutchinson are just few of the American politicians who made it onto the 2022 TIME100 Next list.

TIME will honour those included on the 2022 list during the second annual TIME100 Next event on October 25. Hosted by Keke Palmer, the event will take place at New York City's SECOND Floor and will feature a performance by SZA, tributes from this year's honorees, words from TIME editor-in-chief and CEO Edward Felsenthal, and more. Booking.com is the headline sponsor of the 2022 TIME100 Next event, with Glenfiddich and HSBC serving as supporting sponsors.

Women are featured prominently on all four of the 2022 TIME100 Next covers. Lily Collins, Jennette McCurdy, Trinity Rodman, Elizabeth Wathuti, Hannah Davis, Francia Márquez Mina, Annalena Baerbock, Ayo Edebiri, Ifeoma Ozoma, Simone Ashley, and others all made the cut this year.
