Blackish star Marsai Martin got verbal about her health struggle with an ovarian cyst to guide, teach and advise women in a similar situation.
Caila Marsai Martin is an American actress, popularly known for her famous role as Diane Johnson on the ABC sitcom Black-ish (2014–2022).
In 2019, Martin starred in the comedy film Little, which she also produced, becoming the youngest person ever in history to produce a studio film.
According to E news, Marsai Martin disclosed on a series of Instagram stories on December 10 that she went through a surgical operation to remove a huge ovarian cyst after over 4 Years of pain.
If you missed my live, long story short, I had surgery for my large ovarian cyst that gave me constant pain for 4+ years, I really don't remember any of this sh*t because of the anesthesia, lol. But I will say that I am very grateful to have family and educators by my side in support of this process.The only reason I am sharing this is so I can hopefully spread awareness and share my experience to the young women out there that may be going through the same thing or have difficult menstrual cycles.Marsai Martin
She added, "You are never alone. Listen to your body. It always shows you signs. Health is wealth."
Marsai shared the news alongside a photo of her being wheeled into the operating room.

Then recently on Sunday, Marsai shared another picture, of her getting her makeup done, and thanked fans for the well wishes and support she got.
"Thank y'all for all the love," she said. "The procedure was 10 days ago and I'm now feeling fine. I also appreciate the stories from folks that have been through the same thing! But I'm back and I'm betta."
Marsai is not the only young star who had a surgery recently, Cobie Smulders got surgery for ovarian cancer and also Sarah Hyland got a kidney transplant due to kidney dysplasia.
