Emilia Clarke, who starred in Secret Invasion, explained why working in the MCU is preferable to Game of Thrones.
Over the course of the past ten years, Emilia Clarke has played Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, Sarah Connor on Terminator, and Qi'ra on Star Wars in Solo.
In the most recent Disney+ series, Secret Invasion, the veteran of popular culture finally makes her MCU debut as the grown-up Skrull daughter of Ben Mendelsohn's Talos, G'iah, who made an appearance as a child in Captain Marvel.
During the Secret Invasion press tour, Emilia Clarke told Yahoo's Kevin Polowy why the MCU is the best franchise she has ever joined.
The pop culture icon described the Marvel Cinematic Universe as "a pedigree in its own right," stating that it is "separate from everything else:"
“Oh my god, it's just the best... It's such a pedigree in its own right, it lives in its own level that is separate from everything else. It isn't just a superhero franchise, it's Marvel, like it's totally different.”

The actress praised the cast of the franchise and mentioned the "ease and calm" that comes from knowing that Marvel is "the best" at what they do.
Clarke compared the experience to that of watching Game of Thrones grow over time, explaining that the MCU has given her the opportunity to enter a world where "everyone is already doing their A-game:"
“Game of Thrones was such a unique experience for me because we didn't know what the hell we were doing most of the time. And then it just became this big thing and we just rode that journey all the way. This, you're stepping in and everyone is already doing their A-game.”

This isn't the first time Clarke has talked about her work with Marvel Studios and praised them as "absolutely brilliant:"
"I’m genuinely having a wicked time on Marvel, though, they’re absolutely brilliant.”
The actress even revealed that she would be willing to remain in the MCU for the foreseeable future, noting that everyone has “only the highest praise to offer”.
Emilia Clarke has made her way into some of the most important pillars of contemporary pop culture, including Marvel, Star Wars, and Game of Thrones. Her absence from the DC Universe may be the only notable one on her resume; however, it's possible that she will make an appearance in James Gunn's upcoming reboot.
But Clarke has made it clear that she wants to stay in the MCU after Secret Invasion, so that seems unlikely right now. Notwithstanding, with the government operative spine chiller having presently just delivered one episode up to this point, it's too early to tell where G'iah will wind up when the six-episode Disney+ run finishes up.
Even though G'iah Clarke plays an important role in the Skrull story of Secret Invasion, it's hard to imagine where she could go in the MCU beyond this.
Some have guessed G'iah might turn into the MCU's form of the amazing Wonder spy Abigail Brand when the show closes. After all, Disney once mentioned Clarke as Brand in Secret Invasion, possibly to give away a big twist in later episodes.
Disney+ is streaming the first episode of Secret Invasion right now, and new episodes are released every Wednesday.
