Since Marvel Studios confirmed Daredevil's involvement, fans have eagerly awaited his appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Episode 5 teased the character's return with his new attire.
This week, Matt finally makes his appearance on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, as he and Jennifer Walters come face-to-face in episode 8.
In Phase 5, Daredevil will appear in the Hawkeye spinoff Echo, which will also feature Kingpin's reappearance. Matt and Wilson Fisk will star in 2024's Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ with the eighth episode of She-Hulk under our belts, here are some observations we've made about Daredevil thus far.
1.) Daredevil Still Has a Lighter Side
Occasionally cracking jokes with Foggy Nelson and Karen Page during the three seasons of Daredevil on Netflix, it appears like Matt Murdock will continue to do so in Daredevil: Born Again. Daredevil's demeanour is most properly described as an exaggerated version of the Marvel hero from Season 1, who is very serious yet can still make jokes.
“I run my practice in Hell’s Kitchen, and we mostly do pro bono work.”
Murdock told Walters that he's not alone in doing "pro bono work" in Hell's Kitchen. This matches Daredevil Season 3's ending when Foggy Nelson proposed Murdock and Page work together again.
3 (Theme) She-Hulk, Daredevil
Fans of Daredevil will recognise a musical tone when She-Hulk discovers Matt's identity. A parody of Daredevil's opening theme plays as it zooms in on Matt Murdock's face, suggesting this is the same version of Charlie Cox's character and that the original show's events are still relevant.
4 Daredevil's flirtatious Nature
Daredevil: "I can hear their heartbeats."
She-Hulk: "You can hear their heartbeats? Come on. That's a little far-fetched."
Daredevil: “I can hear yours too. Your heart’s beating pretty fast.”
She-Hulk: "What? No, it's not. I'm healthy."
The episode ending with Murdock and Walters hooking up shows that his flirty personality and charisma are still intact.
5.) Daredevils Suit
In She-Hulk, Luke Jacobson is now Daredevil's costume designer, replacing Melvin Potter.
Murdock informed Walters that Jacobson "created a couple of new suits" for him, indicating that the yellow and red suit is not the designer's first for him.
This would also suggest Jacobson is his first choice for making his costumes now, possibly addressing the fact that Potter is in jail after Daredevil Season 3 and Matt can't employ him.
6. Daredevil's New Suit Is Netflix's Version, Minus the Colour
Murdock's new outfit, except with a different colour palette, looks comparable to the Netflix version.
Murdock wore the outfit to remember his late father, Jack, by combating criminals and administering justice. Murdock's dad wore a red and yellow boxing robe before & his fatal battle against Carl Creel.
7.) He still possesses the smooth leadership skills
He's a great team player, yet he frequently engages in conflict with his allies. This may demonstrate how he might disagree with Captain America and Spider-Man. The MCU's Daredevil is more severe than his prior portrayal, but Marvel Studios' dedication to consistency says he's the same Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
We don't know if Cox will appear in any other MCU films or TV episodes before Born Again, but Daredevil it seems will be around for years to come. Depending on what Marvel Studios has planned for their two next Avengers films, Cox's Daredevil may be in them when they end The Multiverse Saga. Netflix canceling Daredevil allowed Cox to join the MCU, starting with Spider-Man: No Way Home, where he may interact with other superheroes more often.
