Chris Evans, who appeared in 11 MCU movies as Steve Rogers/Captain America, responds to the newest Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer.
When Captain America: The First Avenger, his standalone film from 2011, came out, Evans had already joined the MCU and was the franchise's first Captain America. He continued playing the role for a trilogy and made an overall 11 appearances in MCU movies until handing over the shield to Sam Wilson, the former Falcon (Anthony Mackie), who will be known as Captain America in the next Captain America: New World Order. The MCU has grown significantly since Evans first joined, and over the next three years, 11 films—the closest of which is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever—will be released.
Since the first 2018 film's unprecedented success, the Black Panther sequel, which will be directed by the first film's director Ryan Coogler, has been eagerly awaited. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the last film of Phase Four, has the enormous task of bringing an era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a close while also paying tribute to the actor who played the first Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, whose character T'Challa will be honoured in the upcoming film following the actor's tragic passing. In a recently released, action-packed teaser for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Riri Williams as Iron heart and new MCU mutant villain Namor is seen in action with touching scenes commemorating T'Challa.
Chris Evans expressed his opinions about the new trailer in a straightforward Twitter response. The actor, who previously appeared alongside the late Boseman in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War (during which he also traveled to Wakanda and interacted with Wright's Shuri), retweeted the trailer and included a flaming heart emoji to show his enthusiasm for and support of the upcoming film. See the previous post.
Evans has been a mainstay of the MCU for almost ten years, and his continued support of the superhero series is admirable. Since leaving the MCU, the actor has offered commentary on several MCU projects. Chris Evans continues to promote the Marvel Cinematic Universe even after retirement from MCU as Captain America.
One recent tweet in response to She-Hulk: Attorney At Law's discussion of his character losing his virginity featured three laughing emojis and one with its mouth closed. Steve's presence has been felt in the Disney+ MCU series since he retired in Avengers: Endgame, both in a light-hearted manner, as mentioned above, and in a more serious manner in series like The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. After Spider-Man: Far From Home struggled with the loss of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) Captain America will likely be anticipated to balance Steve's absence with Sam's new role. Evans will likely express his thoughts when that time comes.
For the first time in nearly a decade, Evans can take in the MCU's content as a fan and watcher thanks to his ongoing involvement with the series. It's heart-warming to watch an original fixture like Evans embrace the characters and their tales as the MCU introduces a new generation of heroes. Evans is undoubtedly among those eager to follow the story of the new Black Panther as it unfolds in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
