Margot Robbie is overjoyed to be passing on one of her most recognisable roles to one of her colleagues.

In an interview with MTV that was posted on Thursday, the 32-year-old actress expressed her delight at the prospect of other women playing the role of Harley Quinn. The ‘Birds of Prey’ actress singled out Lady Gaga, who is rumoured to be playing the role in the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux by sharing an animated video on social media in August that included her and Joaquin Phoenix's silhouettes set to old-timey music, Lady Gaga confirmed that she would be playing the role of Joker in Joker: Folie à Deux, which was directed by Todd Phillips.

Robbie stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly from the previous year that she has no intentions to bring her character from the DC Extended Universe in the near future.

The Australian actress also added that a performer has the potential to make the famous role their own by making their own unique interpretation of the character.
